Rodney "Rod" Cegleski and Australian Jackaroo Hamlisch "Hammer" Marshall joined forces after meeting at the SLO Brew brewery in San Luis Obispo. What started as experimentation with brewing and distilling turned into a passion project, eventually leading to the opening of Rod & Hammer Slo Stills in 2019.
