Muhlenberg was once known for its abundance of coal, and for the hard-working miners who spent their lives digging it out of the ground. In the earliest days, they would work countless hours in cramped tunnels, using hand tools to chip away at the seam. They would hand load carts deep in the earth, using big, stubborn mules to haul the coal up and out into the light. This little spot on the map once helped power the world, and the world may have moved on, but the spirit remains…

The bourbon in your hand is also a testament to what time can do. Distilled, aged, and bottled on a hill overlooking the little mining town of Graham, this handcrafted spirit has spent a few seasons in the dark, waiting to be hauled our and shared with the world. A lot of hard work went into the bottle you are holding, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. This is the Spirit of Muhlenberg.
