The Experimental Series explores five aspects of whiskey making. The effects of terroir, artfully crafted blending, the obscure maturation process, science-driven fermentation, and distillation. This edition focuses on the ART OF THE BLEND. If whiskey exists in a spectrum of science and art, blending falls on the art side and relies on the ability to create a blend that is both HARMONIOUS and COMPLEX.
BLEND OF THREE BOURBONS: Rye Bourbon finished in Cabernet Sauvignon barrel. Wheated Bourbon finished in new & charred oak barrels. Wheated Bourbon finished in new & maple smoked charred oak barrels.
NOSE & TASTE: Smokey maple aroma, with the smooth finish of complex oak & caramelized honey.
