This 2020 Viognier from Aequorea winery in San Luis Obispo is certainly a special wine.
Fermenting in 33% stainless steel and 66% in used French Oak provides this Viognier an excellent balance of bright crispiness to go with the texture which is naturally imparted from the French oak.
This cool climate Viognier is a vibrant white wine, high in minerality. A truly aromatic Viognier, this is the kind of wine you could sip on for an hour and not run out of new notes to find. You will notice citrus and if you pay close attention you will indeed find something like lemon-curd. Although Green fruit, pineapple, and pomelo are all noticeable elements of this wine you will not find it too acidic or too fruity.
