My grandfather always told me, “When it comes to bourbon never cheap out on the rye, 2 handfuls.” My father says the same thing but different, “layer more fruit notes into a barrel with two handfuls of rye.” I figured we’d toss two in plus a pinch just in case. Aromas of sweet fruit, caramel, vanilla, rich oak, and cream swirl at the surface of this cask strength single barrel 8-year-old straight bourbon. We don’t make a lot of bourbon, but when we do we dream of it tasting like this one day. Here’s to life, two handfuls. This straight bourbon whiskey was hand-selected from our Stillman’s private stock: Dancing Goat, Finest Quality.
