An exquisite and complex favorite amongst the biggest rum connoisseurs in the world, Rhum J.M VSOP is aged for 3 years in new American oak then rested in a combination of ex-Bourbon and French oak for an additional year before being blended and bottled. This results in an intensely structured palate and a spicy, nougaty richness.
Nose: The nose is dominated by exotic fruit and quince paste followed by vanilla bean and wood.
Palate: The exotic fruit aromas are embellished further on the palate and complemented with lavender and cinnamon. Further exploration will reveal gingerbread, honey, and woody smoke creating a nice balance of structure and harmony.
