California Single Malt Whiskey
Foggy Burl is a 100% malted barley mash bill comprised of over seven different types of malt. We began distilling in 2015, and to this day, no batch is alike. This scarce grain-to-glass release is a testament to our passion, patience, and pioneering spirit.
The Land of Ancient Giants
The Redwood Empire stretches from San Francisco to Humboldt Bay and onto the Oregon border. The region is home to majestic coastal redwoods, some more than 350 feet high and 2,000 years old. Aging our barrels in the temperate climate of the Northern California coast allows for a slow and even extraction of flavor, producing a whiskey of exceptional balance and complexity.
The Foggy Burl
Off the bank of Redwood Creek near Tall Trees Grove is the Coastal Redwood Foggy Burl rising 347 feet from the ancient forest floor. Among some of the tallest ever measures, this determined tree collects 40% of its water from the fog each year for sustainable independence.
