These ex-maple barrels are filled with single barrel bourbon to add sweetness and complexity. The original bourbon is complimented by the thick sweetness of maple syrup resulting in a rich flavor with balance and copious amounts of burnt sugar on the finish. A perfect pour for the holidays...or any season that requires a drink.
EXPERIMENTAL FINISH SERIES Barrels of straight bourbon whiskey are put into various wine, brandy, and cognac barrels for months at a time. We taste them diligently to ensure the finish is heavily present throughout the nose, palate, and finish. Bottled at 112 proof | 56% ABV.
