Description

Oban Little Bay is a refined single malt Scotch whisky crafted on the rugged west coast of Scotland in one of the country’s oldest and smallest distilleries, established in 1794. This West Highland coastal malt undergoes an extra maturation in Oban’s smallest oak casks, intensifying its flavor and enriching its signature smoothness.

The result is a deep and layered whisky with a maritime influence—true to its roots between cliff and coast. The use of small stills and copper contact enhances richness, while slow distillation and additional cask aging deliver complexity in every sip.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Soft aromas of ripe citrus, toasted oak, and coastal breeze

  • Palate: Silky with layers of fruitcake, dried orange peel, honeyed cereal, and baking spices

  • Finish: Lingering warmth with subtle notes of smoke and sea salt

How to Enjoy:

  • Best served neat or with a splash of water

  • Enjoy alongside soft cheeses, grilled seafood, or dark chocolate

  • A contemplative dram ideal for fireside sipping or special evenings

"Oban" is Gaelic for "Little Bay," reflecting both the town and the coastal nature of the whisky.

Q: What makes this Scotch different from other Oban expressions?
Little Bay is matured in smaller casks, increasing surface area contact with the wood to enhance smoothness and depth.

Q: Is this a peated Scotch?
Oban Little Bay has a very subtle smoke note, but it is not heavily peated—ideal for those who enjoy balanced, approachable whisky.
